Spottiswoode Hopkirk Photos
Here are the photos from over 100
years ago, recently reuniting two long separated families, the
Spottiswoode and Hopkirk families. Many of the photos were sent from
New Zealand by Joseph (Joe) Spottiswoode Hopkirk during the late 1800's through the early 1910's to his first cousin Agnes Alexander Spottiswoode. Others were produced around the Scottish borders. You

of how the photos were discovered and re-united with the Hopkirk and
Spottiswoode Families. The
Spottiswoode Family appears to have been a family of means, as many of
the photos were taken at, or by, expensive studios in the UK, and the
woman are always wearing expensive looking clothing. Click on the

Best Wishes for happy Xmas and Bright New Year. Based on trees in the
photo, probably New Zealand. Similar writing as photo #8. Same location
as photo # 10.

Glenburn. Is this the famous Glenburn Station? A large
cattle and sheep ranch, located on the Southeast Coast of the North
Island. Similar writing as in photo #7

was located at 15 Ferry Road. So this photo was taken between 1880 and
1903.
