Robert Stamm was born 14 June 1840, probably in Ohio. Robert died 30 January 1897 in West Holman Township, Osceola, Iowa. He was buried at Holman on February 1, 1897.
Robert STAMM enlisted in the Civil War on 6 May 1861 as a Private, age
21, in Vompany E, 2nd Infantry Regiment Iowa on 28 May 1861.
Promoted to Full Corporal on 23 December 1863. Promoted to Full Sergeant
on 1 January 1865.
Mustered Out on 12 July 1865 at Louisville, Kewntucky.
