All of the above children were listed in the 1901 census with their parents. the twins, Annie and Selby, were originally registered as Marion and George, but there is a note on the birth registration about the changing of thier names dated 3 January 1897.
Margaret HOBKIRK HOGG, passed away on 3 Fabruary 1938, 35 Oliver Park, Hawick. Her son Selby HOGG was the informant.
The image below are three sons Selby, William & John, shortly before they headed off to fight in World War I. Selby & John were wounded and William was missing as of the date this picture was published. This photo was published in a book "The Hoggs of Hawick" in 1919.
