David Thomas HOBKIRK also married Elizabeth BUTLER in 1846, after the passing of his first wife.
David and Elizabeth BOOTH had the following known children:
Charles Codrington Pressick HOBKIRK, born 13 January 1837, at Huddersfield
Ann HOBKIRK, born about 1839, at Huddersfield.
HOBKIRK, Elizabeth: died in the prime of her life after a week's severe illness, on 25.7.1842; she was the wife of Mr. David I. Hobkirk, a merchant, Huddersfield, much respected and deeply regretted. [ex Northern Star and Leeds General Advertiser, dated 30.7.1842]
From the 1851 census, David Thomas HOBKIRK is listed as 45, a woollen salesman. Also in the residence are Charles CP HOBKIRK age 14, Ann HOBKIRK age 12, and Mary Ann HOBKIRK age 22, a servant. His new wife, Elizabeth Butler is taying with her parents in Leeds.
Mary Ann Hobkirk is the daughter of Robert & Sarah Hobkirk, and is the neice of David Thomas HOBKIRK.
