Frances Margaret HOPEKIRK was the sixth child of Robert Craigie HOPEKIRK and Mary WEBB
Frances was born about 1846/47 St. Martin's, Exeter, Devonshire
From the 1851 census Margaret was 4 years old.
Family history says Margaret went to live with her aunts, probably in Edinburgh, when she was a young girl.
Margaret is not listed in the 1861 census record of Robert and Mary Hopekirk.
Margaret married John PERCEVAL or Percival of the Hampshire region in England and they had the following children:
Maurice PERCIVAL, born 3rd quarter of 1879 at Hound, Hampshire, England
Samuel PERCEVAL(died in infancy)
Margaret PERCEVAL, born 18 September 1882.
Frances PERCEVAL, born in the first quarter of 1886, in the district of South Stoneham, Hampshire
From birth index we know Maurice Percival was born in the 3rd quarter of 1879 in the South Stoneham district of Hampshire
From the 1881 census Frances M. PERCIVAL is living at Spring Road Buntwood Villa. She is listed as 34, born Devon, Exeter, the "Wife of Agent in Cotton Goods". Her husband is not listed. They have a one year old son named Maurice, born at Hound, Hampshire. Also living in the home are 21 year old Annie Pike, a cook and 20 year old Annie M Pluckton, a domestic nurse.
In the mid 1890's the family was living at Cradley Heath and Maurice is believed to be attending Malvern College
From 1907 to 1910 the Frances Margaret HOPEKIRK PERCEVAL and her two daughters
are living at Coleman's Hatch, in Sussex.
